Sunday School Classes

Classes for all ages are in session during the school year, September to May, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.  We welcome you anytime!

 

Preschool/Kindergarten (ages 3-5)

This class uses Spark Lectionary curriculum to engage the children in a Bible story and learning activity.  This class meets in the Cry Room.

 

1st through 6th grade

Our not so traditional Sunday School program is called "Washington Kids Discovering Jesus."  Base on a workshop rotation model format the children explore Bible stories through art, cooking, computers, drama, games and video.  Rotations for 2009/2010 will be the Bible, Jesus Blesses the Children, Crhismas Around the World, Joseph, The Fruit of the Spirit, Resurrection, Elijah and the parable of the Talents.

 

7th through 12th grades

This class explores the Bible and topics of interest through discussion often facilitated by video curriculum.  The class meets in our "relaxed youth friendly" senior high youth room.

 

A confirmation preparation experience is offered for 8th and 9th graders.  Those interested should contact Pastor Bill Vincent.

 

Adult classes

Short and long term classes are offered throughout the year.  Topics include Bible study, parenting, the impact of current events on Christian living, etc.  Small groups also meet mid-week to reflect on their spiritual journeys using the Companion in Christ series.  Contact the church office at 636-239-3178 for further details of current classes being held.
