Presbyterian Church of Washington
Youth
Youth (GRADES 7-12) have many opportunities to be engaged in Bible study, fellowship, and service to the church and the community. A youth Church School class meets each Sunday morning at 9 AM. During the school year, the youth meet at a local café for a Prayer Breakfast the first Wednesday morning of each month from 7:30-8:15 a.m..

A social or service event is planned each month by the Youth Council. Popular social events are 5th Quarter parties after the local high school games, church lock-ins, camp outs, swim parties, and mini golf outings. Mission projects include volunteering at Loving Hearts or the Pregnancy Assistance Center, raking leaves for church members, doing yard work on the church grounds, or visiting local nursing homes. Several youth participate each summer in the church mission work camp. And, youth run the sound/video equipment each week for the Worship Service.

The youth also engage in fund raising activities which provide scholarships to attend work camp, the PC (USA) Montreat Youth Conference, or Triennium.

All of these endeavors seek to deepen their personal commitment to Jesus Christ and his Church AND their personal relationships with Christian peers and compassionate adults.
